Sakamoto Zenzo Museum of Art 30th Anniversary: Day to Day

Opened on October 14, 1995, the Sakamoto Zenzo Museum of Art celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Across the days that have made up these three decades, there have been encounters between children and Zenzo’s art, between people and artists, and with the local townsfolk, going about lives that could be described as expression in their own right. These “tiny fragments” are expressed not only in works by Zenzo and those of artists with close ties to the Museum, but also in the activities of local residents.

Staged also as part of the concurrent new “Small Land Project – October” arts festival, “Day to Day” foretells a mingling of the last 30 years of days, with 30 years of days to come.
