Whispers of the Mononoke: Noh Meets Contemporary Art

Spectres and spooks (mononoke) usually refrain from showing themselves.

Their voices are quiet, their figures difficult to discern. But that does not mean they are no longer around; merely that modernization has dulled our senses, making their presence less obvious to us. If we could tune in to their frequency, those quiet voices might become audible, those faint figures visible.

So prepare to adjust your dial of awareness, and enter the realm of the mononoke.
