Jean-Paul Goude

Born in 1940, Jean-Paul Goude served as art director at Esquire magazine, and since then has worked with numerous influential magazines and famous brands throughout the world, including Chanel. Recognized as an “image maker”, he has had a diverse career as a photographer, graphic artist, designer and film director, in addition to collaborating with such renowned artists as Grace Jones. His major solo exhibitions include So Far So Goude, held at the Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea in Milan in 2016, and Goudemalion, sa vie, son œuvre—Jean-Paul Goude une retrospective at Le Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris 2012. In Japan, he has taken part in the group exhibition Image-Makers (21_21 DESIGN SIGHT, 2014), among others.
