Ho Tzu Nyen diligently researches history and folklore to weave intricate stories that span all of Asia like textile. In these works, we can begin to see the multi-layered history of Asia, which transcends any one single perspective. His magnificent and elegant world unfolds while freely traversing traditional genres such as video, installation, sound, and theater, to revive “stories that have fallen out of official history”, lying somewhere between truth and fiction, like ghosts. Through Ho’s narrative, the at times dark and at times bewitching history of Asia emerges to lead us to the present day.
