Omnipresence, immortality and metamorphosis

“We (all livings) are living a single life, the same life” (E. Coccia).

This striking phrase is from the Italian philosopher Emanuele Coccia, known for his “The Life of Plants”(2016). In the “Anthropocene”, where human activities are having a serious impact on the entire planet, how can we possibly overcome anthropocentrism? What does it mean to be compassionate toward non-human beings and to care for the global environment?

What “metamorphosis” makes possible is “empathy”.
All life is connected through “metamorphosis”. We are all heterogeneous and sprawled across the globe in the past and future. Metamorphosis is therefore omnipresent and immortal.

In the ambitious space of Zuiun-An, which symbolizes “tradition and innovation”, six French and Japanese artists from different generations and fields of expression will question ecology through art.
