Uezato Hiroya

Uezato Hiroya was born and lives in Okinawa Prefecture. He creates art works as a member of Social Welfare Center Wakatake, a welfare facility (run by Social Welfare Corporation Wakatake Fukushikai) in Urasoe, Okinawa Prefecture. His representative works are the ten or so passenger planes he crafted from paper up until around 2000. He also draws credit cards, national flags, and the logos of airline companies, for example. Perhaps he uses logos, flags and other symbols as a way to grasp and portray the world we live in.
