Tomizuka Yoshimitsu

Tomizuka Yoshimitsu was born in Hyogo Prefecture. He belongs to Atelier Suzukake, a welfare facility (run by Social Welfare Corporation Ichiyou-kai) in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture, and he creates art works as a member of the facility’s Suzukake Art Club. One of the walls in his room is plastered with memos of his recollections. When he attends the monthly painting club, he selects a memo and begins scribbling its contents onto a large piece of paper. As he beavers away at a furious pace, pictures and words meld together completely, with the finished work illegible even to Tomizuka himself.
