
Muhamad Gerly
Muhamad Gerly is an intermedia artist who lives and works in Karawang. He studied intermedia art at Telkom University, Bandung in 2017-2021. Gerly’s interest in history, folklore,spatial landscapes, and local knowledge values are the creative driving force in his work.
In his creative process, Gerly uses literary and poetic creation methods to form meaning and lyrics from all the events he encounters to open up new visual possibilities and interpretations in inviting the public to view a work of art. Gerly is also actively involved in building the Roompok Space and Artist Collective art collective which focuses on creating works of art in public spaces in South Bandung. Currently, Gerly is also active in Performance Rar, an art collective that focuses on performance art.
