Mitsuo Kim

Born in 1987 in Osaka. Kim Uses silk-screening to create works by fixing images to panels with paraffin wax. The monochrome images are taken from his own photographs, and reflect his gaze. The transcribed images are heated, and the melted, crumbling, and solidified works project his own social instability and ambiguous standing as a third-generation Korean that was born and raised in Japan.
