Matsuda Ryoma

Matsuda Ryoma was born in Kanagawa Prefecture. He attended and created art works at Kouboukai, a welfare facility (then managed by Social Welfare Corporation Shonan Fukushi Center) in Hiratsuka, Kanagawa Prefecture. He now lives in Nagano Prefecture and he mainly creates at home. Matsuda believes he is captain of the Earth Defense Force, a group charged with saving the world from various crises, and he conducts himself accordingly in his daily life. His works feature his words as captain written in lines ruled on photocopy paper. The contents of his writings often reference real-life incidents.
