Ly Daravuth

Born in 1971, in Kampong Thum province, Cambodia. Lives and works in Phnom Penh.

Ly Daravuth fled his country at a young age to avoid domestic turmoil and later studied art in France until he came back to Cambodia in the mid-1990s. He is a founder of a not-for-profit art space Reyum, where he introduced contemporary Cambodian artists and opened art classes for children. Publication regarding Khmer cultures was also part of the artist’s versatile contributions to nurturing domestic culture.
