Kawanishi Yuki
Born in 1997, he graduated from the Graduate School of Art and Design at the University of Tsukuba in 2023. His creative work focuses on the relationship between material and memory, starting from the question of “how do we face the forgetting of memories?”. He currently mainly uses photography as a medium, and attempts to approach the memories and emotions engraved in people’s inner selves by confronting the uncertainty of existence and inevitable forgetting itself that they evoke. Recent major exhibitions include Unraveling and Weaving the Light (2025, Art or Rice Vermicelli or Shirochu/Roppongi, Tokyo), Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry The Chain Museum Project “OKUROJI STUDIO EXHIBITION” (2023, Hibiya OKUROJI/Hibiya, Tokyo), Let’s go, Midsummer Performance (2023, Art Gallery Kobo Chika/Ebisu, Tokyo), and WHAT CAFE EXHIBITION Vol.22 (2022, WHAT CAFE/Tennozu, Tokyo).
